INDIANA YOUTH PREVENTION SURVEY
The Indiana Youth Survey (INYS) is an annual survey of students in Grades 6 - 12 that assesses students’ substance use, mental health, gambling, and risk and protective factors that can impact student success.
The INYS is provided through the Indiana Prevention Resource Center, and is free to all Indiana schools - funded by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction. Beech Grove City Schools' (BGCS) baseline INYS was conducted in the spring of 2018. Beech Grove Comprehensive Drug-Free Coalition (CDFC) facilitated the INYS baseline implementation, and will assist BGCS in the development of substance use prevention programs. Funded through Drug Free Marion County (CDFC). The next scheduled survey is planned for Spring 2020.
